Yawn

Title describes how I am feeling nowadays during the holidays.
A part of me really wants to go out and find a part time job.
But the other half of me really wants to just laze around.
However, cash is running low now, I may be left with no choice soon. Hah.
Everyday at home is the same routine, watch TV, practise abit on the piano, play games, surf the net, and try to finish up 1 litre of tears and some anime.
Anyway, just got back my exam results a few days back and I am going to be doing honours. Also, I would like to add that I now really really really dislike Liu Xiang Yang.
A bit of update on what I have been doing during my holidays so far:
Not too long after it started, Kelvin invited a few of us to have some sushi. Was actually really craving for sashimi then, and was quite glad that he took us to this little establishment located at the International building.

Actually, it was a sushi buffet. All I had was this small portion of sashimi to quell my cravings.

But the sashimi was heavenly. And so were the sushi. Actually, for $33, I expect the sushi to be better than good. Still, I wished the chef would go easy on the wasabi. Actually, I wished that he didn't have to use any wasabi at all. I love my sushi wasabi-less and soy-sauce-less. This picture below were the first 2 sushi that was prepared for us.

The shop was actually very small. And the buffet isn't like those at sakae where you have the converyor belt bringing sushi to you. Instead, we sat at this long counter area, and the chef would prepare the sushi for us based on the fishes he had.

Was very disappointed with myself that day, as I quickly became quite full. Didn't even try the puffer fish!

To Kok Leng: This is what puffer fish looks like. Not that $10 atrocious piece of thing we ate at Tiong Bahru.

In retrospect, I think what got me full was this:

Forgot what this is called, but its basically rice and sashimi and yam. This dish tasted too slimy for my liking and I was practically forcing it down. However, my friends seemed to think that it was not bad...

Anyway, it was an interesting dining experience. There were still lots of weird sounding sushi in the menu that I haven't try. Hah, maybe next time.

Also managed to catch Pirates of the Caribbean 3 with some friends I hadn't seen in a long time. Before I talk about the movie, I have to mentioned that we dined at Coffee Club, and once again, I managed to taste my beloved MUSHROOM CREPE! And I think their mud pie is abit overrated. Maybe only girls like them.

Okay.

Pirates 3 story was totally incoherent. It was too confusing for its own good, and I do not know why the heck they even want to throw in the story about Calypso at all since it didn't do anything to the plot. But then again, I don't watch Pirates for its story. I enjoy it because of the ride it takes the viewers through. And Jack Sparrow. Hence, I found myself enjoying the movie quite abit.

Finally,

A picture of the sky:

Something cute:

Actually, I think this picture looks more scary than cute. Like some nightmare...

And somewhere in Singapore:

I feel this picture looks like its taken from some other country. At least, if you try to ignore the HDB flats in the background. Taken this pic from Chomp Chomp at Serangoon Gardens. Thic picture looks very blur if you are going to enlarge it, because it was taken with digital zoom.

Chalet and backlog

Life has reverted almost back to normal. Have been slacking quite a bit lately.
Actually, slack is quite an understatment. Body already almost fusing with my bed, and eyes are becoming one with my TV and computer screen. Quite a few pictures in this post, as I want to clear some backlog that I have.

Anyway, had chalet a few days back. Booked Aranda at downtown east. Check out the picture of the rooms down below. Huge living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and a kitchen. Lots of sleeping places to go about.

The guys' bedroom

The girls' bedroom

The large living room

Didn't have any BBQ this time, which I found was actually better. BBQ are always a chore to prepare and clean up. Then there's always too much food that no one else wants to eat. Moreover, I never seem to get full at BBQs.

Played lots of silly games, although it was quite fun. Overall, the chalet was very enjoyable. Slept a total of..let's see...5 hours over the entire stay? So I was really shagged at the end of it.

Then Kok Leng and Jeff asked me to watched spiderman 3 with them on the day we checked out. Hah. It was like an out of body experience. Anyway, spiderman 3 was okay. I found the action scenes nice, with the camera rotating up and down, round and round. The problem with this movie was that it tried to squeeze too many materials into 140mins. You have the green goblin arc to finish, then you have to introduce sandman. Then there's spidey's alter ego as well as venom to include. So some parts of the story really felt lacking to me, and some of the problems seemed to be resolved too simply. Not to say spiderman 3 isn't nice, but I just didn't enjoy the story that much.

The Backlog

Here are basically some things that had happened, or somethings that I just need to say, and photos that I've taken but had no time to say or post.

Had 2 cheat-sheets to prepare for this semester's exams. Honestly, I really dislike preparing cheat-sheet. But I dislike memorising even more. So there, my 2 cheat-sheets, one for ML3105 and the other for GEK 2506. I thought I wrote alot for these cheat sheets. But I thought wrong. It's amazing how my friends could squeeze so much infomation onto an A4 size paper.

ML3105 cheat sheet. Does the equations and graphs scare you?

GEK2506 cheat sheet. Which was useless.

One of my favourite places to study and hang out in Uni.

A few friends' also had their birthday. But don't have any of their birthday photos! Except one..so,

Happy Birthday, Shufen~!

This photo I took one day, when I was in my room, doing, er...something. Can't remember. My windows are actually tinted blue, and when the sunlight shined through, it created these lovely patterns on my ceilings. So to those interior designers or artists, maybe this could give you some ideas or inspiration~~~

Went for a hair cut sometime before the study break. Took bus 54, and was kind of surprised to see the interior of the bus turning out to be like that. Realised it was some music mobile thingy, pubilicity by Nokia? Anyway, looks cool eh, the interior of the bus looked like a lounge or something.

So there's music playing in the bus. But the music apparently jerks alot as the bus is moving and it turned out to be very irritating. And there weren't enough seats, especially when the school students got on the bus. So, really, I wonder who thought up this concept. So many flaws.

I love the sky. And I don't like it that I can't see it from my bedroom. However, the front of my house presents a wonderful view of the sky and clouds. This picture is taken just as I was coming home from school, with the sun setting behind Junction 8. I love to think that this sunset was made just for me. Why?

Because my name was etched into the sky by the clouds. Hur Hur Hur.
